10 great inspiration sources for entrepreneurs
As entrepreneurs, small or big, we always have an uncertain path in front of us and difficult times sometimes cross our way. In difficult times or not, it’s important to seek inspiration to keep on going and use other people’s stories to keep the excitement on our own ventures.
Thinking of that, we created the list of “10 great inspiration sources for entrepreneurs” below. From websites with crazy ideas to people having daily interviews with successful entrepreneurs, we consider this an organic source of inspiration.
1. Mixergy
Andrew Warner (read his successful story here) founded Mixergy as an idea of sharing the knowledge of successful business people with any entrepreneur interested in learning more by simply visiting mixergy.com and watching those top quality interviews. He already interviewed awesome people like Seth Godin, Jason Fried, Guy Kawasaki just to name a few.
2. SpringWise
The guys at SpringWise say they are a “required brain food for entrepreneurial minds”. Targeted for any entrepreneur worldwide, Springwise scans the globe for the most promising business ventures, ideas and concepts that are ready for regional or international adaptation, expansion, partnering, investments or cooperation.
They have more than 8.000 publishers (which they call Springspotters) worldwide and ferociously track more than 400 global offline and online business resources, as well as taking to the streets, cameras at hand.
3. KickStarter
Targeted for musicians, designers, filmmakers, journalists, inventors or any kind of artist around, KickStarter is a great website where those people can pledge funding for certain projects. This website is in this list because it has has potential to give new entrepreneurs ideas on how to market their product and ideas.
4. AllTop – SmallBiz Edition
Co-Founded by Guy Kawasaki, AllTop.com is an incomparable resource of information to keep you up to date. Divided and organized into many categories and sub categories, the website shows the most important articles from many other sources like blogs, online magazines or news sites.
5. VentureBeat (http://venturebeat.com/)
Founded in 2006 by Matt Marshall, VentureBeat’s mission is to provide news about innovation for forward-thinking executives.
Covering from innovative products to the last closed deals in the technology market, Venture Beat is one of the best places to go if you’re looking for information about technology trends, online market and even some great articles about entrepreneurship.
6. QuickSprout
Founded by serial online entrepreneur Neil Patel, founder of Crazy Egg and KISSmetrics, QuickSprout.com is an interesting blog for any kind of entrepreneurs. With articles such as 7 Ways to Legitimately Build Backlinks and 10 Timeless Business Tips From 10 Millionaires, this blog is a must read for anyone starting or running an online venture.
7. The NetSetter
The NetSetter was founded by Collis Taa’ed (also founder of the successful Envato Network) in early 2009 and aims to give you the information you need to start a business, market it, develop it, hire people and manage them, and overcome the many obstacles you’ll encounter along the way.
8. Signal vs. Noise
Signal vs. Noise is the official blog from 37Signals, founded in 1999, even before the company, as it is know today, existed. On their blog, Jason and Matt express daily thoughts about design, business, experience, simplicity, the web, culture, and more, becoming a worldwide reference for entrepreneurs.
9. VentureVoice
VentureVoice.com, which has a very similar concept as Mixergy.com, is a podcast that explores how entrepreneurs build their businesses and live their lives. With more than 60 podcasts published, this is a rich ad useful source of information for entrepreneurs.
10. Business Opportunities Blog
Since 2001, the founder of business-opportunities.biz, Dane Carlson, has posted more than 16.500 different business ideas on his blog, which he calls “a moderated list of legitimate business opportunities for entrepreneurs“. Very interesting source of information for some products “outside the box”.
